It is 1984, and Michael Jackson is king – even in Waihau Bay, New Zealand. Right here we meet Boy, an 11-year-old who lives on a farm together with his gran, a goat, and his youthful brother, Rocky (who thinks he has magic powers). Shortly after Gran leaves for every week, Boy’s father, Alamein, seems out of the blue. Having imagined a heroic model of his father throughout his absence, Boy comes head to head with the actual version-an incompetent hoodlum who has returned to discover a bag of cash he buried years earlier than. That is the place the goat enters.
